Privacy Policy  

We will ask you for minimal information when you make a donation. You will need to create an account with a username, password, email address, and zipcode. A few other questions may be answered if you choose. Your email address is important as we will send your donation receipt to that address.

If you choose to enroll in other facets of the site, such as Associate, Merchant, or NonProfit Affiliate, more information will be required, such as mailing address and phone number.

All promotional contact will be by invitation only. We do not send a periodic newsletter and will not sell or give your email address or any other information to anybody else to use for marketing purposes. If you answer “yes” to the question “May we send you an occasional email?”, we will rarely email you. When we do, it will be about our service to you and/or the organization you support. If you elect only to have us remind you when rewards are about to expire, that’s all we’ll do.

Cookies
We use both temporary and persistent cookies. Temporary cookies are deleted by your browser when you close the browser. They are necessary to use the site. Click here for more information about temporary cookies.

Persistent cookies are used so we can identify you when you come back. We use this information to save you time by loading data that you saved previously, like your reward zipcode, email, username, etc. We will also personalize the site by displaying local reward and charity information for you. If you don't wish to allow a persistent cookie, it will not affect the operation of this site. 

Anonymous Donations
You may choose to donate to any organization anonymously. If you do, the organization receiving your gift will receive no personal information about you. We will periodically send the organization compiled donor statistics, but there will be no way for the organization to get individual information from this.

What Information Do We Give the NonProfit?
If you did not choose to donate anonymously, we will send your name, billing address, and email address to the organization, along with the amount donated. You may or may not receive an additional receipt from them. You may or may not receive further correspondence from them. We will not include profile information, such as family size and salary range with your name. Profile data will only be given to the organization in a compiled format.

Credit Card Information
DonationRewards™ does not keep your credit card number on file. We do keep your billing name and address in our database.

Any other contact will be solely for the legitimate purpose of correcting problems, announcing important changes to policy, etc.
